Alfa Romeo 4C is a small mid-engine sports car built by Italian automaker Alfa Romeo. 4C is derived from the bigger 8C Competizione, both shares a model name, C means cilindros is exactly equivalent to English word.

4C comes a smaller 1.7-litre (commonly as 1.75-litre) turbocharged inline-4 engine produces a 240-hp, gearbox is dual-clutch. Body styles either coupe or roadster (as spyder version). Wheels are 18-inch for front and 19-inch for rear. Fuel efficiency is near par with the Mazda MX-5.

Like from 8C, 4C released a limited Competizione edition with carbon-fibre finishing. 108 units were built. A Picchio version is the most expensive with over €300,000 in today's price.

In 2020, 4C premanently ceased in production.

Appearances[]

  • In Series 22, Episode 7, a white Alfa Romeo 4C only appears on the studio, with a discussion with Richard and Jeremy Clarkson where Richard praises the fourth-gen Mazda MX-5. He also added that it could be superior than the 4C, something Jeremy disagree with.
  • In Morrocan Roll, Jeremy chooses a 4C Spider, as Richard stated from the former Top Gear. MX-5 proves to be the best in lap times including the handling and reliability.
