Apocalypse Clarkson was the name of the second Clarkson home video release, as part of a series which would be released yearly through to 2011. These videos were instrumental in making Jeremy Clarkson a household name, in addition to giving Clarkson an opportunity to show the world how he'd present a show around cars, with content much more extreme than was shown on Top Gear at the time, such as increased appearances from supercars and the destruction of cars which Clarkson hates.

Synopsis[]

Though the previous video was centred around finding the greatest car ever, its sequel is focused on handling. After introducing the video by showing off a variety of professional sports which its athletes make seem easy, including a Group B Audi Quattro being driven competitively by a rally driver of the era, he heads to Mallory Park with a selection of sports cars, beginning with the Porsche 911.

Much like its predecessor, he also destroys a couple of cars, namely a FSO Polonez, two of which he blows up in a game of conkers and throws down from a crane from a great height, a Chevrolet Corvette C4, which he guns down in an attack helicopter using tracer fire, and a Lada Riva, which he pulls apart using two dump trucks in a quarry.
