Audi is a luxury German automaker based on Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany which competes the BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Audi is a long-time part of the parent company to Volkswagen.

In early beginnings August Horch founded his own company in 1904, however he left in 1909 where he expand to Zwickau due to the trouble from chief financial officer, former partner and lawsuit which eventually belonging his own former company. Horch would not been used as a company name and then becomes Audi with his close business friends, hence was founded. Audi was first to introduction car where he left in 1920 as transport minister.

In 1932, Audi began to merge with 3 makers under as Auto Union and a four rings which becomes a trademark with reverted as simply Audi. The four rings logo is nearly resembles from Olympic logo albeit with each half ring is within the line. When the World War II broke out Auto Union shifted temporary for military vehicle until in 1945, which now relocated to Ingolstadt, Germany (formerly as West Germany) then from the fomer Zwickau.

By 1960s Auto Union was put in jeparody and became unprofitably eventually now controlled by Volkswagen and resurrecting the Audi becoming success with the shared components leading to the development of the 4WD initally as high-performance which was the first to use in rallying later becomes mandatory due to the potential. As a result Audi expands overseas which saw the better sales, in 2020, Audi now a subsidiary with VW Group.
