BMW Z3 is a small roadster built by BMW from 1995 to 2002. It is successor to Z1 with pre-modern styling. Z3 is often competitor to Mazda MX-5 throughout its production years.

Z3 comes with lesser powerful naturally-aspirated inline-4 below 2-litre with under 150-hp. Overall dimension is slightly altered compared to Z1. It has a conventional 2-door convertible but has a unique coupé body style that resembles a hatchback commonly as 'shooting brake'.

M version Z3 released in 1997 with powerful 3.2-litre inline-6 from S50 to S54 up to 320-hp, it comes with retuned suspension, 17-inch wheels (with 245 and 255 tyres) and exclusively with manual gearbox.

In 2002, Z3 ended the production and was replaced by Z4 with relaunched M-version from 2006 to 2008.
