Chevrolet G20 (or Chevrolet Van) is a full-size van built by Chevrolet (later GMC) from 1964 to 1996. The van was typically used commercially.

The G20 comes with either an inline-6 or a V8 engine up to 7.4-litre (a V6 for third-gen). The first and second generations had a mid-mounted FR drivetrain but shifted to conventional FR with 4WD optional for the third-gen.

For the third generation it received a facelift and redesign. In 1996, Chevrolet would end the G20's production life and replaced it with the Chevrolet Express later that year.

Appearances[]

  • In the Cheap Ambulance Challenge, Richard Hammond picks and modifies the Chevrolet G20. With a radioactive livery, Clarkson and May mocked it for not being high performance enough for the challenge. In the timed medical procedure lap on the Top Gear test track, every turn and speedbump causes Hammond to swing around, causing his clothes to be covered in sick. In the race to the hospital, the G20 suffered from fading brakes (later burning) due to its weight. Once he reached to hospital he ejected the patient violently using an air cannon, launching the patient through a window, thus "killing" them.
