DMAX was the German television station headquartered in Munich responsible for re-airing motoring television show Top Gear in its modern incarnation, in addition to producing its own motoring show, D Motor, from 2006 to 2008.
In May 2008, the channel collaborated with the BBC to produce a World War 2-themed England vs. Germany challenge, which aired as Series 11, Episode 6 of Top Gear and Series 4, Episode 11 of D Motor.
The channel was also responsible for creating and distributing German dubs of the series, including a unique Series 9 DVD which was never released anywhere else, albeit missing Series 9, Episode 1 due to personal circumstances relating to Hammond's Vampire Dragster Crash.
