Hyundai S-Coupe is a small 2-door coupe built by Hyundai. S-Coupe is a correctly badged version in UK whereas other market simply ironically as Scoupe. Scoupe a portmanteau of a combination of sports and coupe. Although, the rear badging actually has a stylized "S" presumably to lessen to subjection of pun.

The engine options are inline-4 that was naturally-aspirated (including one being sourced from Mitsubishi) and Hyundai's own turbocharged variant from N/A as Alpha. Turbocharged S-Coupes where only available in US market with re-work engine, etc.

The S-Coupe is one of many cars that are nearly impossible to find in intact-condition or that have been maintained well. It is believed that only a few are still on the road. In 1995, S-Coupe replaced by Tiburon where the design is rounded.

Appearances[]

  • In Teenage Car Challenge, Richard Hammond picks the S-Coupe, his modification was the badly constructed body kit later comes loose on rear bumper as he climbs hill after James May (on Golf) on Festival Test and being the quietest with 50 dB. His car modified once more with a bonnet scoop and the stripe vinyl. However, in Lap of Crashes he badly hit the silver Passat, he went presumably being passing out. All points are stripped out as a result.
