"I don't believe that - the most exciting thing I've ever seen, and some idiot at Television Centre cut to an advertisement for a stupid little Korean hatchback!"
- Jeremy Clarkson referring to a tongue-in-cheek mini-segment mocking the coverage of the World Cup
The first generation Hyundai i30 was a Korean hatchback built by Hyundai Motor Group from 2007 to present. It is notable for sharing its chassis and a lot of its running gear with Top Gear's third Reasonably Priced Car, the Kia Cee'd.

Series 15, Episode 1[]

The game of Car Football which interrupted the Bentley's power lap.
Mid-way through The Stig's Power lap of the Bentley Continental Supersports, footage of the car racing around the Top Gear test track was suddenly interrupted by a group of i30s having a game of Car Football. While this was happening, commentary for Stig's lap suddenly reached high levels of absurdity, reporting on alleged events such as Stig crashing the Bentley in an explosive rollover and having to dodge naked waitresses and a tiger, before shaking hands with Elvis. Of course, none of this was seen due to the short game between the group of Hyundais, and was used as a satirical take on commercial networks' coverage of sport, often missing crucial events due to the breaks in between.
Top Gear: Apocalypse[]
A pair of i30s appeared later that year in the direct-to-video release Top Gear: Apocalypse, each of them crashing into opposite ends of the Nuclear winter pile-up caused by James May and Richard Hammond.
