Jaguar E-Type

The Jaguar E-Type was made by the Coventry-based Jaguar car company from 1961-1975. It was designed by Malcolm Sayer. It was replaced by the XJ-S. Clarkson tested this car against the Aston Martin DB5 to see if 1960s supercars were any good. He didn't think either of their performance was very good but he liked their beauty. Fortunately he revealed that there is a company that can fit a working engine in the amazing car's bonnet. The bad news for an E-Type is that to be worked over, it would cost £90,000. It was faster round the track than a DB5. In the seventeenth series of Top Gear. Then Jeremy Clarkson celebrated the 50th birthday of the Jaguar E-Type and also drove a model of it called the Eagle Speedster
