Jaguar XJ-S

The Jaguar XJ-S (later the Jaguar XJS) was a luxury grand tourer produced by the British manufacturer Jaguar. It replaced the legendary Jaguar E-Type in 1975 and was built until 1996. Its first appearance on Top Gear was in Series 2, Episode 3 when Richard Hammond entered one in his own Supercar World Cup. It was not as unfair as one may think because the Jag had been stripped and had some N2O boosters. It appeared again in Series 3, Episode 1 when Black Stig drove the same one off an aircraft carrier. A 1983 example was driven by James May in the Cheap Coupé Challenge. Jeremy Clarkson brought a 1991 Jaguar XJ-S Celebration model for the India Special.
