Kevin Blick was the first editor for the long-running Top Gear Magazine, and held the role from the issue cover-dated October 1993, through to the issue cover-dated June 2003. As he revealed in his final issue, he was only intended to remain in his position through to the first half of 1994, but ended up being the magazine's permanent editor for over a decade.
Leaving Statement[]
For issue #117 of Top Gear Magazine, the final issue where he was editor, Blick issued the following statement:
"I suspect you're keener to read about the Enzo than the self-indulgent ramblings of a departing Editor but it's my last leader so bear with me (or turn over). I came to TG as launch Editor just to see it through its first six months. I've enjoyed myself so much I've stayed 10 years. That says everything there is to say about the best mag and the best team in the business."
He then thanked everyone who he had the pleasure of working with and wished the best of luck for the magazine's next 10 years.
