Kia Picanto is a city car built by Kia since 2003. The Picanto known as the Morning in the South Korean home market.

The first-gen Picanto was based on the Hyundai Getz' platform but shorter, the body design with 5-door hatchback. Most engines are offered with petrol displaces from 1 to 1.3-litres all comes with multiport injection but only has a one diesel option with a smaller inline-3 engine with a VGT turbocharged.

In European markets, the Picanto includes the MP3 player, the air con, keyless fob, etc. The mid-2007 model receives the facelift with the changes of its front bumper, the changes of steering from powered to electric steering. In UK-markets (includes some European markets) the indicator stalk swap to opposite side. The second facelift has included the air duct, frequently dubbed as the Tiger Nose but unavailable in European market, however. The first-gen Picanto ended in 2011.

The second-gen Picanto launched in 2011. The engines replaced a smaller inline-3 with same displacement as the diesel no longer available but the 1.3-litre inline-4 was available, also. The 3-door hatchback was exclusively to the European markets (included the UK). In UK, the Picanto was a promotional car in ITV show. The Picanto was award a Bargain Car of the Year in Top Gear Magazine (TGM).

The Picanto receives the facelift model incorporates both front/rear bumper with revised gauge clusters, the infotainment system, etc. This was exclusive to the home market. The second facelift in 2015, includes the foglamps, the smaller 1-litre turbocharged engine, slightly enlarge disc brakes, etc. The second-gen Picanto was discontinued in 2017.

The current third-gen Picanto launched in 2017. The engine choice in-favour of smaller 1-litre both with Kappa/SmartStream inline-3 both N/A and turbocharged. The Picanto features a TVBB (Torque vectoring brake based), SLS stability (Straight-line), FCWS warning system and AEB system. The high-performance as GT-line was exclusively in the Southeast Asian market. Facelift model received in 2020 with restyled front/rear bumper, the headlamps, etc. The current 2023-facelift had completely reshaped altogether.
