Kia Sportage is an SUV built by Kia since 1993. First to second-gen Sportage as compact-type by third-gen onwards now in crossover with increase dimension with much redesign. Convertible only in first-gen. SUV version has different length on the trim-levels.

Drivetrain comes both FWD and 4WD; RWD formerly in first-gen. Engines formerly source from Mazda and was replaced with Hyundai counterpart displacing from 1 to 2.4-litre (including under 2-litre both N/A and turbocharged for diesel; formerly with 2.7-litre Theta V6) later comes with hybrid now both with MPi and CRDi prospectively. All uses inline-4 configuration.

Sportage now in fifth-gen introduced in 2021. All engines are now badge as Smartstream-series with EV version as well.

  • In Series 22, Episode 8. The Stig piloted the third-gen Sportage in oval track with caravan attached dubbed as Leisure Stig. However. he rather drives slow around the track. As the lap progress, the Stig finally comes to halt and eventually abandon the test. Nevertheless he able to reach 60 miles an hour and fully stop with much distance before diving into mudpool.
