The Lexus IS-F (XE20) is a performance compact executive saloon version based on the second generation Lexus IS. This was the first Lexus "F" marque line-up, the engine came with 5-litre V8 and uses only an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The IS-F launched early in 2007, the second generation IS saw a significant sales and became best-selling in the US market. The 2010 model receives a facelift and some improvements etc. In 2013, the second generation ceased in production then later the IS-F on the following year, this continues in the current generation. In 2021, Lexus dropped the IS-F and rebadging as IS 500 F Sport Performance.
The car competes against similar performance saloons like BMW M3, Audi S4 etc.
