Mazda RX-7 is a flagship performance sports car built by Mazda from 1978 to 2002. RX-7 is extremely known for being lightweight, small but nimble, and rotary engine which in-favour of many petrolhead, many variety of motorsports and a balanced 50/50 weight distribution.

Most chassis code given with 'F' but North American markets has a unique code but nearly the same. RX-7 has a unique "buzzer" sound is purposely for warn the driver mostly reaching on redline. FB RX-7 has a sleek body design. Engines initially with 1.1-litre notably the smoothness in the engine, later 1.1-litre has a turbocharged which also phase out after the introduction of FC with 1.3-litre.

The second-gen FC RX-7 has a simple body coupe design with a bit rounded, engine has two 1.3-litre both NA (with twin-rotor) and turbocharged, overall dimension remains untouched. FC RX-7 is the only has a convertible version.

For the last-gen FD RX-7 body design is much rounded with pre-modern styling but has slightly increased of wheelbase and width. Engines only with 1.3-litre twin-turbocharged. An added of 2+2 coupe besides 2-seater. FD RX-7 has a many trim and limited-edition models with an improve of the performance. The Series 8 saw the use of 17-inch wheels in pre-late MY-models.

European market pulled out in pre-1995, due to cost to comply earlier European Emission Standards.

In 2002, RX-7 ended the production due to restrictive newer emission along the Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline GT-R and Nissan Silvia (including the European badged Nissan 200SX. The RX-7 was replaced by the RX-8 in 2003.
