Sir Michael Gambon (19 October 1940 - 27 September 2023) was an Irish-British actor. He was regarded as a most distinguish actor mainly for his work on stage and on-screen. Spanning over sixty years, in his career, he received the BAFTA award four times, the Olivier Award three times, and Screen Actors Guild Award two times. His host notable role was as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter film series, taking on the role after the death of Richard Harris in October 2002.

Gambon passed away on 27th of September 2023, after suffering a bout of pneumonia. He was 82.

Appearance on Top Gear[]

Gambon first appeared on Series 1, Episode 8. In an interview with Jeremy Clarkson where he showed was eccentric, with the tape played where the clip show upon undertaking lap time on Top Gear test track where he damaged the Suzuki Liana where two right wheels (both front and rear) clipped with broken right mirror on the final corner towards to the finish line.

During his practise run, he spins out just before the final corner. In the official lap, this time he corner cut after the first corner and then in the same final corner (at first on left and then on the right; wheels off the cornering trail) with Jeremy mentioning his name (in the final corner), Fortunately only suffers a lesser tyre wear after crossing the finish line.
