Nissan Micra is a supermini built by Japanese automaker Nissan since 1982, replacing the Nissan Cherry. The Micra had a reputation of it's highly exception for it's smooth driving feel, great handling and reliability. In the Japan and some global markets, the Micra is known as the Nissan March.

Engines range from 898cc to 1.6-litre petrol engine, being either as the naturally-aspirated or the turbocharged, but has it's diesel with the 1.5-litre engine supplant from the Renault. A 4WD version of the Micra was made, dubbed as the e-4WD, however, it was exclusively in the Japan's market. Nissan introduces the coupe cabriolet version, as the C+C. The C+C, however had ended up on the list as being the worst cars in the last 20 years by Top Gear Magazine.

The K11 Micra often ranked under 10th place in the 1990s JD-Power Survey.

The current production of the fifth-gen (K14) Micra was shifted to France on the Flins Renault Factory.

Jeremy Clarkson often mentions the Micra whilst he was driven and had comparably to the cars, also.

  • In 1992 Old Top Gear episode, Michele Newman and Jeremy Clarkson voted the K11 Micra on the top for it's solid build and reliability over the Vauxhall Corsa, Fiat Uno, Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo, etc. Then Clarkson was seen as he sat on the rear passenger upon gave it's compliment.

  • In Series 8, Episode 1, Richard had a briefly reviews the Micra C+C convertible. He criticises the time taken to get the roof down, which is 22 seconds, but he likes the boot space. Richard drives through the town with his face covered with a paperbag (once he did from the Mens & Motors), but he soon abandons the car and prematurely cut-off his review despite the car's colour (as pink) was been made embarrassing to him.
  • In Series 12, Episode 1, during the lorry challenge, a K11 Micra was loaded inside the cargo of Richard's lorry. He had many attempts of re-attaching the rig, mainly for the lorry had been connected improperly. As he departs the car moves back and forth (as seen on the camera), and then the race on the Alpine Course. As Richard climbed on the gradient surface, unbeknownst to him, the cargo door promptly pops open. Thus, unloading the Micra and left on the road, then afterward had sustain some damages.
