Rimac Concept One, sometimes stylised as Concept_One, is a two-seat electric concept hypercar designed and manufactured in Croatia by Rimac Automobili. The concept served as basis prior to the production as the Nevera with the same components and somewhat different design.
The Concept has a unique 4WD system implemented from the LSD utilising all four individual motors, thus totalling 1,224-hp with torque that's over 1,100 lb-ft. It is claimed to be the fastest electric car. This include the changes for the 2016 and 2017, with its top speed reaching a maximum 221 mph.
A Concept S variant was produced with only 2 units. The motor output was rated at 1,384-hp, with weight saving and aerodynamic upgardes to produce more downforce and the racing harness.
Appearances[]
- In Past, present or future, Hammond championed the all-electric Concept One (Future) against Clarkson in a Lamborghini Aventador S (Past) and May in a Honda NSX (Present). The Concept One curb-stomped the NSX and the Aventador in the drag race, but lost against Clarkson's Aventador during the hill climb challenge in Switzerland. Furthermore, moments after crossing the finish line, Hammond crashed the Concept One and broke a leg, requiring air-lift to a Swiss hospital, while the car continued to catch fire for five days.
- In Bah humbug-atti, during the Conversation Street segment, Jeremy gave a present to Richard with a scale-model version of the wrecked Rimac that also functions as self-destructing alarm clock, along with the collection of items found from wreckage which Hammond seemingly ridiculed himself.
