The twelfth and penultimate episode of the first series of the Amazon motoring show The Grand Tour premiered on the 27th of January, 2017. It is entitled [censored] to [censored], after the original title of Wank to Fucking was not approved by Amazon, in spite of those being German place names which hold significantly rude connotations in English. Filming for the studio segments of the show took place in Loch Ness, Scotland.
Synopsis[]
Segments[]
The guys head off on a tour of Central Europe in three brand-new SUVs, taking in some of the rudest-named towns in Germany and Austria along the way, with May taking the Bentley Bentayga, Hammond the Jaguar F-Pace and Clarkson a Range Rover.
Also, the guys prove in a short video that launch control is the most "pointless thing" ever fitted to a car.
Track Test[]
Clarkson hits the Eboladrome in the new Lexus GS-F.
Celebrity Brain Crash[]
The guest this week was Hollywood director Tim Burton who attempted to cross Loch Ness in a mini-submarine, but was killed as it implodes before reaching the tent, which Hammond blames on the Loch Ness Monster.
In this show...[]
- An ant in a jar...
- A dog on a lead...
- And some beans on a table...
Tent Location[]
For this episode, and the one before it, the tent was pitched in Loch Ness, Scotland in the United Kingdom. More specifically, the tent was pitched on the shores of Loch Ness itself.
Trivia[]
- This is the last episode to feature "The American" as The Grand Tour's chief test driver. For Series 2 and 3 he was replaced by Abbie Eaton.
- The village of Fucking, Austria was renamed to Fugging, Austria in 2021, 4 years after the airing of this episode. It's unknown whether or not this episode drove tourism to the small village.
