The second episode of the fourteenth series of Top Gear aired on the 22nd of November, 2009. It was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig. Michael Sheen was the guest star.
Synopsis[]
Standing next to a G-Wiz, Jeremy Clarkson states that if you buy one of them, you are plainly not interested in style, comfort, or speed. Or practicality. Or driving pleasure, safety, and even the driver's dignity. Continuing this argument gave Jeremy an idea; if all a person wants is a battery-powered box, why pay £8,500 for a G-Wiz when you can build one yourself?
Tonight...[]
- James drives a milk float...
- Richard says "look out" backwards...
- And [Jeremy] cut [his] finger on some aluminium.
Trivia[]
- The Corvette vs. Audi R8 road test was one of three segments filmed in standard definition and likely held back from Series 13; the other two were the Airport Race in Episode 4, and the BMW X6 Test in Episode 7.
- The presenters kept getting the name of the second generation car in the wrong order, which explains why, when Autocar asked for its proper title before publishing their road test, the Top Gear office accidentally told them it was the Hammer Eagle i-Thrust when it should have been the Hammerhead-i Eagle Trust.
