The seventh and final episode of the eighteenth series of Top Gear aired on the 11th of March, 2012. It was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig. Slash, Kimi Räikkönen and Chris Evans were the guest stars, the latter appearing in a segment.

The guys attempt to prove that it's possible to go motor racing for less than the cost of playing golf. To prove their point, they each buy a secondhand car for as little as possible and head to Lydden Hill to partake in a rallycross contest.
Elsewhere, James drives his childhood dream-car, the Ferrari 250 GT California, which is owned by Chris Evans.

- Slash is a big Top Gear fan and had been trying to come on the programme for ages. When the production Office asked if he would end his appearance by performing the theme tune, he agreed immediately and spent the weeks leading up to this appearance listening to the original so that his rendition was note perfect
