The twenty-fifth series of Original format Top Gear, starring presenters William Woollard, Jeremy Clarkson, Chris Goffey and Tony Mason alongside a plethora of other hosts premiered on the 28th of February, 1991 and concluded on the 2nd of May, 1991.
It would turn out to be the 20th and final series where Woollard was the main host, having held the role since Series 6 in 1981 and missing just two episodes of the 176 which aired during his tenure. He would be replaced in his role by Jeremy Clarkson, who had quickly rose in three years to become the show's eminent host.
It was also the final series for long-term female host Sue Baker, who had significantly decreased her screentime from the twentieth series onwards simply to present the various automotive shows throughout the year. She would not appear again in any Top Gear incarnation after these two final appearances.
