Old Cars for New Drivers
The trio head to Plymouth where they each purchase a second-hand classic car, that they believe is a more interesting first car than modern equivalents, on a budget of £7000. McGuinness chooses an MG B GT, Flintoff chooses a Volkswagen Beetle and Harris chooses a Lada Niva.
The first test sees the presenters performing a number of laps around a quarry on a restricted amount of fuel, trying to match the number of laps set by the country's most popular first car - the Vauxhall Astra - followed by a runway test where the presenters try to get as close to 50mph without exceeding it, otherwise they will activate a paint bomb in the car.
The final challenge pairs the presenters with 17-year-olds who traverse a driving test-obstacle course, then navigate the presenters in a timed relay race to the Headland Hotel in Newquay.
