The thirty-first series of Top Gear began filming in May 2021 and aired on the 14th of November, 2021. The series once again features the presenting line up of Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff.

- The presenters were spotted in Northumberland with three electric SUVs. Harris was driving the Audi e-Tron S Sportback, Flintoff was driving the Polestar 2 and McGuinness was driving the Mercedes-Benz EQC.
- The presenters were spotted in Plymouth with McGuinness in an MGB Sebring, Flintoff in a Volkswagen Beetle and Harris in a Lada Niva.
- The presenters were spotted at Silverstone testing three high performance cars with three F1 Drivers. Flintoff and Sebastian Vettel had the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition, Harris and Lando Norris had the McLaren 765LT and McGuinness and Antonio Giovazzini had the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm.

- In Australia, the series exclusively streamed on Stan, a streaming service owned by the Nine Network, who previously broadcasted the show in Australia. Series 27-30, along with the Nepal Special were also added following the series premiere.
- In New Zealand, the series streamed Sunday nights on TVNZ Duke then immediately On Demand. Episodes air one week after the UK.
