The fifth series of the Amazon motoring show The Grand Tour, featuring ex-Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, premiered on the 16th of September, 2022. Like the previous season, the fifth season of the show aired over several months/years and featured only special episodes.

Four specials were filmed for this series, one in Scandinavia which aired in 2022, that was originally meant to be filmed in Russia, another in Eastern Europe that aired in 2023, a third in the Sahara Region in February 2024.

In early December 2023, it was officially announced that the Series 6 will be the last series of The Grand Tour, and subsequently the final series involving Clarkson, Hammond and May as a trio.[1]

Episodes[]

Episode Synopsis
A Scandi Flick (Scandinavian Special) The presenters are challenged to travel across the Scandinavian Wilderness in a trio of AWD Rally Inspired Sports.

History[]

In December 2018, it was announced that The Grand Tour had been renewed beyond its original three-season order. At the time, it was announced that the show would return for a fourth and fifth season.

Filming has since taken the crew to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Slovenina, then in Mauritania and Senegal, and finally in Zimbabwe.
