The third episode of the seventh series of Top Gear aired on the 27th of November, 2005. It was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig. Stephen Ladyman was the guest star.

Synopsis[]

Tonight's episode will be mostly centred around supercars, due to Clarkson's notion that regular drivers don't see the point in their existence. As a result, the trio drove to a new bridge in the South of France, although none of them could figure out which car to take, thus leading into a Three Car Comparison.

Tonight...[]

  • The chav-tastic new Ford Focus.
  • The Transport Minister is in our Reasonably-Priced Car.
  • And Richard Hammond and [Jeremy] have a fight.

Segments[]

Cool Wall[]

For the first and only time in the series, The Cool Wall was used, last appearing in Series 6, Episode 11. It would be a full season before it next appeared, and the following cars were added to it:

Car Ranking
Aston Martin V8 Vantage SZF
Vauxhall Astra VXR C
Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG U (C)
BMW M6 X (SZ)

Trivia[]

This is the second time the production crew use M83's "Moonchild", the first time being in the Race to Oslo in Series 6 Episode 6. Weirdly though, the song wouldn't be replaced in subsequent broadcasts, while during the aforementioned race film it was.
