Suzuki Vitara is a small crossover SUV built by Suzuki since 1988. Vitara is larger than the Jimny with an additional SUV body style.
Like the Jimny it has an optional four-wheel-drive now with base FWD in the current-gen. SWB body style only in first to second-gen outside markets commonly known as Escuedo with soft-top roof but dropped in third-gen which also the last-gen be with an RWD as base model and only with turbo-diesel.
Current fourth-gen powertrain shifted to FF layout; 4WD remained optional. Smaller inline-3 were added up to 1.4-litre. The current Vitara reclassified as crossover.
A unique Pikes Peak version with nearly 1,000-bhp also features in Gran Turismo.

- In Police Car Challenge, Richard Hammond purchased a Vitara JLX with much cheap with £750 which he had most points in budget. It featured with decal as 'the police' scheme with nail attached floormat. At first in clearing the wounded person was difficult for him, nevertheless he able to clear up the debris. However, he failed to stop the Stig (in BMW) where the stinger distance is not too far enough to deploy.
