Knowing when it's time to go[]
It's a little sad that Chris decided to leave so soon. I thought he was doing pretty well and had a good relationship with the rest of the presenters. But sometimes a person's role in a project is to get it started and set up in order to hand things off to other people. By recognizing that early, he avoided a situation where he might have to be forced out or where his continued presence might hurt the show.
One personal comment I have to make is that if he will be appearing on television more often in the future, he might want to consider a different style of eyeglasses. I'm not so sure the ones he has now are very complimentary to him. It's a small thing, but sometimes small things can affect a person's reaction to something. Back when Martha Stewart was having so many problems, I had said that I thought a lot of the negative reaction to her was due to the tone of her voice. It reminded me of HAL 9000.
