Toyota Yaris is a subcompact hatchback built by Toyota since 1999. In Japan, the Yaris was initially as the Toyota Vitz built from 1998 up to 2019, as well the export version badged as the Toyota Echo (mainly in the European markets) until 2005. The Yaris competes directly to the Nissan Micra.

The Yaris had expand it's body style with the saloon, coupe (as Platz, Belta and Vios) and the MPV (as Yaris Verso, and lately the Yaris Cross in 2020). All model codes were directly to a same platform.

Yaris had a reputable from being as small, economical, reliable, reasonably price and practicality. The First-gen models, had a centre instrument cluster with the digital display. But on the latter-gens now shifted to the conventional side, both with the LHD/RHD configuration. And lastly, the CVT gearbox was added from the second-gen onwards; 4WD was also offered as optional.

In the current-gen. Toyota released a homologated variant (to compete the current WRC) branded as Toyota GR Yaris. The GR Yaris comes with a flagship 4WD (branded as GR-Four), turbocharged inline-3 engine, and the 6-speed manual gearbox, etc.
