The seventh and final episode of the seventh series of Top Gear aired on the 12th of February, 2006, following a lengthy hiatus. It re-ran a week following its original broadcast. It was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig.
Synopsis[]
With that year's Winter Olympics being held in Italy, Clarkson can't help but feel it's a place that's a little "warm" for such an event. As a result the team have headed to Lillehammer, Norway, the host of the 1994 Winter Olympics, where they are going to host their own take on the event using cars.

Production[]
From a technical standpoint, production for the Winter Olympics Special began on the 6th of December, 2004, due to the Car vs. Bobsleigh race being reused from Series 5. Otherwise, filming for the special commenced in January 2006, with Hammond absent for the first two events due to daytime television appearances on Des & Mel, as well his own program The 5 O'Clock Show, hosted with Mel Giedroyc.
Trivia[]
- The wheel trims that the car used aren't from a Mini cooper but a base model Mini city painted with cooper-style stripes on its bonnet and a Union flag on its roof.
